ATHENA is an open source software platform for arts and cultural organizations.

Our long-term vision is a framework of modular components serving a potentially infinite array of functions, from web content management to non-profit accounting and everything in between. Applications built on ATHENA will be guaranteed to interoperate and seamlessly share information, thereby eliminating the redundant and inconsistent data that inevitably results from incompatible software applications being run side-by-side.

ATHENA 1.0

ATHENA 1.0 launched in May 2011, with two major modules: ATHENA Tix (event ticketing) and ATHENA People (fundraising & donor management). This release focused on the needs of the small organizations and independent producers who are the traditional heart of Fractured Atlas's membership.

ATHENA 2.0

We're now on the march to ATHENA 2.0, which aims to support the needs of mid-sized organizations, still focused on ticketing and non-profit constituent relationship management (CRM). Software releases are tough to predict, but we're hoping to launch in Spring 2013.

ATHENA 3.0

ATHENA 3.0 will introduce a third major module: ATHENA Books (working title). ATHENA Books will handle non-profit accounting and will be closely integrated with Tix and People. Among other goals, we hope to introduce tools for automated bookkeeping of ticket sales and donations.
